A large, market leading company based in Southall are recruiting for an Accounts Payable Supervisor / Team Leader to join their finance team.

This is an office-based role and would suit an individual who has leadership / supervised / managed a team in the past and is looking for a long-term move into a company which promotes longevity and internal progression.

A minimum of 2 years’ Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger experience and 1 years’ leadership type experience would suit this role.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Purchase Ledger management including reconciliation of key/large supplier statements
• Being the “go-to” for AP queries from the team of 4, acting as a guide for the day to day running of the department
• Resolving outstanding queries and unallocated cash
• Chasing unauthorised purchase invoices.
• Code and approve purchase invoices.
• Supervise reconciliation of all supplier statements, bi-monthly, and resolve queries.
• Review aged credit report for anomalies.
• Month-end routines for Purchase Ledger, including ensuring the list of balances reconcile to the control accounts , clearing down debt balances
• Month-end close procedure control for Purchase Ledger.
• Processing fast payments daily
• Preparing and processing monthly BACS runs
• Supervising the processing of company credit cards

Requirements:

• 1 year of type of leadership experience in the past is required; supervising or managing a team.
• 2 years’ Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger experience is a must
• An FMCG background would be beneficial
• Experience using MS Dynamics OR Navision would be a bonus
• Enjoy being hands on in your role
• Possess previous experience supervising staff even if its been in a temporary capacity
