We are currently looking for a Distributor Operations Manager to join a great company based in Bracknell to cover Maternity Leave for an initial 12-month period. This is an opportunity to be a part of a multinational, reputable business and to work across key functions:

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility in developing and implementing all necessary business conditions, in terms of planning, execution and respective Gap analysis and consequent countermeasures definition
  • Management of each Distributor’s supply plan
  • Check product pricing and grade strategies to maximise sales and profitability
  • Keep monthly/quarterly follow up meetings to discuss distributors business situation
  • Coordinate the products flow from tracking point of order confirmation through to the receipt and payment of goods. This involves:
  • Issuing & Log of Quotations, Purchase Contracts, and Shipping documentation
  • Issuing Proforma invoices for a number of Distributors
  • Credit checking, Shipment planning, and Shipping authorisation
  • Liaising internally with Finance / Business Administration and logistics departments
  • Communicating with all Distributors on all export issues
  • Resolving any export queries
  • Managing swap requests and necessary logistics coordination
  • Ad hoc data collation
  • Budget preparation support
  • Quotation check before upload to SAP

To be considered:

  • A logical thinker well organized with a high degree of accuracy and numeracy
  • Degree qualified and/or experience in the retail sector is essential
  • Highly enthusiastic and self-motivated with the ability to seek continuous improvement in processes
  • Proven skills in managing, leading and motivating both upwards and downwards, inside and outside the business
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • The confidence and ability to work autonomously whilst also being a strong team player
  • The role may require European travel and overnight stays
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Fluent in English language, with any other relevant language skills being essential
