Marc Daniels are working with a long-standing client very well established in their field going through an exciting period of change in their recruitment for a Financial Accountant based in Reading.

This role is 2 days a week in the office and the employer is very flexible.

This role would suit someone newly qualified from practice with a strong affinity for reporting who is looking to take ownership of their work.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring proper accounting in compliance with legal and internal guidelines to ensure correct monthly, quarterly and annual submissions in accordance with US GAAP and local accounting requirements
• Will be responsible for providing insight, analysis, and commentary on balance sheet performance, aiming to influence and drive decisions that improve the balance sheet position.
• Responsible for the timely preparation of month end accounts for UK and Ireland.
• Build a strong understanding of finance systems and international accounting standards
• Liaise directly with auditors to respond to audit queries in a timely and accurate manner.
• Preparation of the USGaap balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Provide commentary on variances verses prior year, investigate discrepancies and rectify in timely manner
• Continuous Improvement, actively reviewing internal processes with a view to continually improving them, identifying areas for optimisation
• Supporting the accounting manager with monthly and adhoc tasks as require

Requirements:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant
• Bachelor’s or equivalent
