A unique opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a media organisation on a 12 month fixed-term contract, offering a fantastic chance to work with diverse international projects and contribute to key financial operations within a dynamic industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee management accounting for multiple international projects, ensuring timely and accurate month-end accounting processes.
  • Monitor project costs to ensure alignment with established budgets and provide variance analysis of actual results against forecasted figures.
  • Conduct financial accounting tasks, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations and overseeing vendor payments in coordination with the group accounts payable team.
  • Strengthen internal controls for vendor creation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes while driving continuous improvements.
  • Prepare gross profit forecasts for the business unit, collaborating with commercial colleagues to ensure accurate data is captured in the forecast.
  • Provide periodic cash-flow forecasts to support the company’s financial planning.
  • Organise and participate in regular meetings with business leaders to ensure accurate tracking of confirmed deals and opportunities within the company’s CRM system.
  • Maintain and update monthly reports to reflect new business deals and ensure all deal-related data is accurately recorded in the CRM system.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with commercial teams to ensure costs are reconciled and rebilled efficiently and on time.
  • Carry out additional tasks as required to support business needs and ensure financial operations run smoothly.

Requirements:

  • Finalist or newly qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience with month-end close processes and posting journal entries.
  • Strong ability to work effectively with commercial stakeholders, providing constructive challenges when necessary.
  • Advanced Excel skills with a strong understanding of financial systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with a range of stakeholders.
