A successful and growing organisation is seeking a commercially minded Management Accountant to join its finance team in Slough. This is a broad role offering responsibility across reporting, analysis, budgeting, and business partnering, with exposure to technical accounting requirements including IFRS 16.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting.
• Lead month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and financial review.
• Deliver variance analysis and provide clear commentary on financial performance to support decision-making.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes across the business, working closely with budget holders and operational stakeholders.
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations, audit preparation, and year-end reporting requirements.
• Support accounting and reporting requirements relating to IFRS 16, including lease accounting, reconciliations, and process improvement where required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across financial controls, reporting accuracy, and finance processes.

Candidate profile:

• Fully Qualified (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
• Previous experience in a Management Accountant role with strong month-end and reporting knowledge.
• Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Experience with IFRS 16 and lease accounting would be highly advantageous.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Organised, proactive, and able to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
